Region and State Final Competition Team 2024 and Announcements!

Congratulations to all of you and your hard work these past few weeks!  I was very pleased to see so much growth on everyone's region piece and can't wait to keep working with you the next two weeks to get things ready for competition. I wish we could take all of you to compete.  It was really difficult to make some of the cuts needed, but I wanted to let those who are not on this final list are still welcome to attend on March 19th with us if you let me know by 3pm on Friday, March 8th.  You are still a part of team and valued!

Also, below are important date reminders AND your group numbers for those moving on to the competitive rounds.  You should use these instead of your names and school in the slate starting tomorrow- do NOT use your names and school at competition and PLEASE practice slates ahead of time.

Important Dates:

Team Days

 - 3/6 TEAM DAY at 2:45pm till 5pm in the Green Room; costumes suggested! (THIS Wednesday - tomorrow)

- 3/8 Next Grade Check!  You don't need to do anything, but your names will be submitted to the office for a scan on them and our eligibility list.  From Friday to April 13th you MUST keep grades up!

 - 3/11 TECH CHECK in class - I will be checking all of your projects in class and talking over and having you present your 2-3 minute spiel in small groups. Have your projects with you IN CLASS!

(Jaycey will also be available to help with tech checks and your mini speeches THIS Friday in the Green Room after school!)

 - 3/18 TEAM DAY at 2:45pm till 5pm in the Green Room; costumes mandatory! This is the day before we compete and we will go over last minute details.  TECHS - come this day too so I can give you the last bit of trip info.  You will only be needed till 3pm.

You CAN rehearse on other days - and SHOULD.... recall I am here after school most days.  Some of our alumni will be putting up signups on the wall in the green room too if you want to work with them! Plan to get picked up most days by 4:30pm.

Competition Date -

 - 3/19:  You will be released from your last period class at 1:45pm and report to the Green Room immediately.  We will gather our set/props & costumes, load up the bus, and then head to East High School.  I anticipate us to be back between 8-9pm.  You WILL need to bring dinner with you or some snacks.  They often sell pizza and things for kids, but I can't guarantee they will have that this year.... I'll let you know if I hear otherwise.
