Musical Theatre Showcase Announcements and Reminders!

Hey all!

A reminder that this coming week is the big performance week!  We will have the Musical Theatre Showcase at 6pm on Tuesday night in the PAC.  This is a great opportunity to support your peers and get some extra credit in theatre classes for attending the showcase. It is free and again, starts at 6pm sharp! 

Those in the class and my techs on the event, a few reminders:

Please take time the next two days to just review your dances and music so we are ready for Monday.  You will need to bring ALL under-clothing and costumes needs on Monday, including your sneakers and jeans. We will meet in the PAC auditorium at 2:30pm, right after school on Monday the 5th.  Please also BRING FOOD AND WATER - bring some dinner and snacks to have as we will be there until 7pm.  We will be done by then, so please have parents and guardians plan that time for pick-up. Remember, this rehearsal DOES count toward your grade and you must be there for that full time for full points.  Techs, same for you! 

 On Tuesday, our call time is 4:30pm sharp.  We will warm-up, test mics, and get our energy up for a show start time of 6pm. Please remind families and friends to be on time to come support!  I am so excited to show them all we have been working on! :)

Lord of the Flies Community Performance Tickets!

Hey Y'all!

On April 9th and 10th we will be presenting our senior's production of "Lord of the Flies" at 6:30pm each evening.  Here is the link to tickets: https://gofan.co/app/school/UT7004aLinks to an external site.

There are only a 120 per night, so it's first come, first served and open seating. Tickets are free, but please don't take more than you will actually use. Please please start spreading the word and tell parents, peers, friends to come out! Come support our amazing seniors and their one-act!  This will stand as our senior night and I will do a short presentation for them April 10th directly after the show.

Fall Showcase 2020 Audition Packet, AD Application, and Calendar

This Fall we will be having a Fall Showcase to celebrate the power of performance!  This will contain scenes, monologues, musical numbers, and a narrated story.  I am excited to provide this acting opportunity in a safe and autonomous way for our Alta students and hope to see many audition.  All the information you need is contained in the packet link below.  

Auditions will take place THIS coming Monday, the 28th of September from 3:30-5:30pm in the new Alta PAC Green Room.  You should arrive at your audition time with the paperwork from the packet and permission slip already printed, filled-out, and signed.  If there are questions READ THE PACKET FIRST, then email me.  I will return emails up until 2:30pm on Monday and then need to get ready for the auditions.
