Little Mermaid Design and Stage Manager Applications (Due Wednesday!)

Hey Team,

Here are the design applications - thank you for your patience in posting these. Please have these completed and submitted by Wednesday evening at 5pm as I will need to contact people and would like to have leads attend some rehearsals the following week to start watching runs of the show. You ONLY need to submit these if you want to be considered for lighting lead, sound lead, or stage manager. If you want to be considered for multiple ones, submit multiple ones!

LIGHTING DESIGNER
Name:
Grade:
Email Address:
Have you been involved with Alta Theatre before, and if so, in what way?
What experience do you have with lighting design? (Don’t hesitate to apply if this is minimal!)
What unique quality could you bring to this position?

Why do you feel you would be a good fit for this position?
Please describe in detail your organization style and process.
With this position, you would be required to meet with Ms. Struiksma and her Assistant Director one day before or after school the week of January 26th to talk concept and ideas. You will also HAVE to read through and mark the script in detail. Additionally, you would have to do a certain amount of research about lighting design for this show, including watching a run of the show during that same week and attending the rehearsal from 9am-2pm on Saturday the 30th to work on lighting set-up/cues. You may need to be able to make calls directly to lighting or tech places, parents, etc. and speak with adults as an Alta Theatre Representative. You need to plan to be at ALL tech week days (both weeks) and performance to set and do lighting cues, setting lights, adjusting colors, problem solving, etc. You also will be required to run lights for the show itself and rehearsals leading up to the performances, three weeks out. Do you pledge to fulfill these tasks in an effective and timely manner?
